CONCERT BAND
Mr. Choplick
Welcome to the 2018/19 school year. I am looking forward to working with each one of you and will do my best to keep you informed of all activities and requirements for band.
DRESS:
All students are expected to wear BLACK PANTS (no leggings)
BLACK TOPS (ladies no strapless or tanks and MEN- long sleeve button down)
BLACK SHOES- no flip flops or sneakers and only DARK SOCKS
Men- you may wear ties or bow ties
EXPECTATIONS:
All students are expected to come to band prepared.
Pencils must be on each stand, music must be with you for each rehearsal.
Phones must be kept away AT ALL TIMES. The only time a phone may be taken out is if a student has permission to leave and fill out an e-hallpass.
All band students are expected participate in three required concerts each year. Your grade will be affected if you fail to attend.
Lessons are required. Lessons will be excused only if a student is absent from school or a teacher needs the student to stay in class (tests or failing a class). Lesson passes will be filled out the previous Friday in e-hallpass. If you can’t attend a lesson, make sure your teacher fills out a reason why on your hall pass.

Grades will be given four times a year.
Any extra credit will be placed in your participation grade. Credit will be given for attending concerts in the community (must have a program or ticket stub) and for participating in extra musical activities that are offered throughout the school year.
Grades will also be altered for failure to participate in scheduled marching band rehearsals and performances.
